The Invasion has begun!

Yesterday was a big hoo-hah for Nokia because they finally launched their delayed and much anticipated Mobile Massively Multiplayer Online Game, or 3MOG. The game in question was HinterWars: The Aterian Invasion. This was unveiled together with DiGi, the first cellular company in the world to launch this game.

DiGi customers - both prepaid and postpaid - will get the exclusivity to play HinterWars on their Nokia N-Gage and N-Gage QD. At this moment, the beta trial version will make its round in roadshows organised by DiGi and Nokia, and participants will get some other HinterWars/Nokia goodies too.

The game is revolutionary because it's the first of its kind to allow seamless gameplay with other mobile or PC-based players. When asked, Stanley of Nokia commented that players can choose to jump from the mobile phone to PC and back again while retaining their stats, items and equipments. HinterWars is a turn-based game like Super Robot Wars or Final Fantasy Tactics. When the official mobile version of HinterWars game is launched, Nokia's Dolly Chin confirms that owners of Nokia Series 60 smartphones (i.e. N70, 6600, 6680) would also be able to join their N-Gage counterpart in the battle to stave off the Aterian Invasion.
